The WSD-1 switch is used to deactivate the acoustic signal generated by the aforementioned devices. It leaves the visual signal active (in the case of acoustic and visual sounders). For SA-K5, SA-K6, SA-K7, SG-PGW3, SGO-PGW, and SGO-PGZ3 devices, a single WSD-1 switch can be used to deactivate only one device. For the SA-P8, SAO-P8, and SAOZ-PK2 series, depending on where the WSD-1 switch is connected, it can be used either to deactivate a single device locally (WSD-1 connected to a “slave” device) or to deactivate the entire network of devices (WSD-1 connected to the “master” device). The WSD-1 acoustic signal switch is used in fire alarm systems to facilitate evacuation procedures.
Construction
The WSD-1 acoustic signal switch consists of a plastic enclosure with a momentary push button. The push button features an LED indicator. The device wires are connected to terminals located on the switch’s printed circuit board. The acoustic signal switch is wall-mounted using two screws. When an alarm signal is generated by the fire alarm control panel, the connected SA-K, SA-P8, SAO-P8, SG-PGW3, SGO-PGW, SAOZ-PK2, or SGO-PGZ3 devices are activated. The acoustic signal can be deactivated by pressing the WSD-1 switch button. This is indicated by a flashing LED. The LED continues to flash until the alarm signal from the fire alarm control panel is cleared by resetting the alarm condition on the control panel. If the alarm signal is generated again, the relevant devices will be activated again.
Notice The WSD-1 switch is supplied directly from the signaling device connection block. Do not connect an external power source to the terminals of the WSD block.
