Description
Use
The ZSP-01 external parking system is intended for controlling the process of vehicle parking/docking.
Construction
The ZSP-01 external parking system consists of an ultrasonic sensor and a control box.
The ultrasonic sensor allows distance measurement in the range from 0.3 m to 2.75 m* . The sensor is equipped with filters that allow it to ignore small objects and return results only for objects with a strong acoustic echo. The device performs real-time auto-calibration, taking into account supply voltage, humidity, and background noise.
The control box is made of plastic and features five cable glands that allow for sealed cable routing. It enables the connection of two signaling devices (internal and external) as well as an ultrasonic sensor. Additionally, it includes a relay output that changes state when the distance to the vehicle is less than or equal to the lower threshold.
The optional ZSP-01 elements may be extended for other W2 products enabling external signalling (SO-Ad3 signalling device) and internal signalling (WS-Ad signal tower). With such solution the user obtains a complete system to enable measuring the distance between the vehicle being parked and other objects as well as light signalling of the particular process stages.
Products by other manufacturers (PLCs, other signalling equipment or actuators) may be connected to ZSP-01.
* For larger quantities ordered there is a possibility to extend the upper limit to 7,5 m.

Additional
Control
After the control box is connected to the mains, the setup of the switches responsible for the upper and lower limits is checked in accordance with tables 1 and 2. Change in the setup range may be done during the device operation.

Tab.1 Lower limit setup. Tab. 2 Upper limit setup.
Based on the information forwarded by the ultrasonic distance sensor, the selected range and the control input, the device generates a controlling signal for W2 signalling devices. The table below presents interdependence between the distance and the optical signal. If a tower is mounted inside, the change of light from red to green takes place with a 5-second delay.

Moreover, if the distance of the vehicle from the sensor is equal to or smaller than the lower limit, the status at the transmitter output changes. With the use of the jumper mounted on a printed circuit board it is possible to select the output signal for the external control system. The system enables selection between 24 V DC signal and NC contact of the transmitter.
Optionally, there is a possibility to connect the system such that a mechanical button is replaced with a sensor of platform standstill location, which automatically signals the end of transloading.
Notice
If the ultrasonic sensor is not connected or if the sensor’s cable is damaged, the signalling devices blink with red light at the frequency of 1 Hz.
