Acoustic alarm device SA-A2

Use:

SA-A2 acoustic alarm device is intended for applications in industrial automation systems.

Construction:

Main features of the SA-A2 acoustic alarm device are as follows:

  • adjustable volume,
  • function of gradual increase in sound intensity, preventing effect of surprise in silent surroundings,
  • possibility of creating wider networks of signaling devices operating synchronously,
  • Very low power consumption (<20 mA @ 24 V DC) with considerable intensity/volume of the generated alarm signal (>100 dB @ 1 m),
  • four sound patterns.

OFF OFF DIN 33 404
OFF ON police signal
ON OFF ISO 8201
ON ON fire service signal

The cover of the signaling device is made of non-combustible plastic material, in which  electronic components are embedded. In the cover of the SA-A2 acoustic alarm device, we have placed a power connector and a four-position micro-switch, with which it is possible to select the mode of operation of the signaling device, the sound pattern, as well as to enable or disable the gradual volume increase function. In addition, also a potentiometer enabling the adjustment of the signaling device volume is embedded in the device cover.

Opening:

To open the alarm device you should: twist the shade to the left while holding the base, then move apart the shade and the base.

Closing:

To close the alarm device you should adjust the markers, then assemble the device and twist it to the direction marked with an arrow (sequence shown in the drawing).

Synchronization:

SA-A2 enables creation of synchronously operating signalling devices network.

Synchronization of signalling devices takes place with use of additional line (S terminal of signalling device). During creation of synchronously operating networks one should remember about proper configuration of signalling devices operating mode (only one master device, the remaining signaling devices operate in slave mode).
